The Sunflower Project

The use of the green sunflower lanyard, lapel pin, or bracelet for an individual signifies that the individual wearing it has an invisible illness or disability. They might not be able to communicate effectively as to what they will need help with. The sunflower lanyard is very distinct, and yet discreet. We don’t want to call full attention to the fact that the wearer has an invisible illness to embarrass them, rather as a signal to be quiet, understanding, and empathetic.

If the individual is not able to wear the lanyard, lapel pin, or bracelet, we have the “I support” lanyard for their companions, family and friends to wear. The “I support” lanyard is a way to let others know that someone that they are with, has an invisible illness that may require time, patience, understanding, and empathy.

I SEE You! Foundation is proud to be the first in Utah to offer this new and exciting program for all of our communities! We know firsthand how challenging it can be to have to deal with judgement, fear, and stigmas. The sunflower lanyard is free to individuals who would like to wear them and use them. Please email us at info@iseeyouutah.org for more information on how to get one.

For businesses, we want to be your resource for you to help, assist and educate your employees and patrons. We offer free on site training for your employees, as well as be your one stop shop to order lanyards. As a business, we want you to know that your efforts in trying to bring kindness, empathy, and understanding to your location is appreciated. Please contact us at sunflowerproject@iseeyouutah.org to find out how you can get involved, schedule training and to place your orders.

Circular Badge

The 'Sunflower' pin badge is an alternative to the lanyard and card. It acts as a sign that the wearer has a hidden disability and may need some help, assistance or a little more time.

Face Mask

Wear the Sunflower face mask when travelling or out in public to indicate that you or someone in your party has a hidden disability and may need some extra time, care or patience.

A lightweight, one-piece design covers the nose and mouth, with comfortable ear straps to ensure the mask stays in place, made from polyester and antibacterial yarn.

Available in 1 size only. Size: 36x13cm.

Please note that due to COVID-19 hygiene regulations, we are unable to accept returns on Sunflower face shields once they have been removed from the packaging.
